When we Distracted Students doze off to sleep, it seems such a beautiful world. A world with nothing in it. Yes, that is the beauty of sleep. There is only sleep and us, and nothing more. It is a feeling when one feels nothing, much like a part of your subconscious when it is inactive. Every single word written above seems so pure and serene that I wish it was true. Sleeping could have only been next to that feeling of nothingness that you get upon being drugged except for the dreams. Dreams are what tell you that your mind is still at work, only it doesn’t know what it is working upon. This is why dreams that you can’t reason out in any way or provide answer to what your dreams mean, are always there to interrupt your sleep.
Dreams are always so interesting that most of the times you don’t understand what your dreams mean or either you don’t remember the dream that you saw while you were asleep. It is like a filmstrip with a whole lot of images flipping by right in front of your eyes. Only the emotions are more real making you wake up feeling stuff that you just can’t explain.
Dreams for long have been a topic of immense scientific discussion and deliberation. Why dreams occur and what your dreams mean has long been researched into. Dreams are generally short but effective. They can drive home some really strong emotions. It obviously is our heart’s greatest desire that we remember all our dreams but most of the times there are a few glimpses that remain and drive you crazy at times to understand what your dreams mean. The most embarrassing part about dreams is that sometimes they are full of things that we will be only too ashamed to admit when wide awake. They bear no connotation to our thoughts whatsoever, but still they are our dreams, an outcome of our subconscious and you can’t understand absolutely in anyway the meaning of your dreams.
It is absolutely outrageous to suggest that dreams are a manifestation of our inner desires because I can’t even remotely believe that in some corner of my heart I would want a certain man to run behind me with a sharp dagger in his hand. Even if I was contemplating a suicide, why the hell would I want to die in such a way? The theory that dreams are meant to prepare us for life threatening situations suits better here for the meaning of your dreams. Whatever the reason behind a dream may be, the fact still remains that there is no one particular statement that can perfectly define why we dream and what your dreams mean.
Now, why we dream and what your dreams mean is best left upon scientists to decide because there are so many theories to this fact that is hard to narrow down on any selective ones. What I am glad about is that my dreams are mine and the best part is that I can sure manipulate them before they reach my friends!!!
